Aftercare For All Permanent Eyebrow Procedures

Follow these steps to ensure the best healed results:

Day of Procedure:
1. Approximately 1-2 hours after your procedure, use the cotton pad and the cleanser provided to gently clean the brows to remove excess lymphatic fluid (which is completely normal). Please avoid excessive scrubbing! Then, gently pat your brows with the wet pad and fan dry.

Days 2-14:

  • Begin by washing your hands.
  • In the evening of Day 2 after your procedure, use a rice grain amount of the provided balm, and apply a sheer layer to your brows with the applicator stick or a q-tip (Do not use your fingers to apply balm, due to bacteria).
  • Your brows should feel hydrated while also being able to breathe. This helps promote the healing process.
  • You can apply the balm morning and night if eyebrows feel dry or itchy.

During The Healing Process

Keep the brow area dry!

  • No sweating or swimming for 10-14 days
  • Use the provided shower shields for the shower and to help keep your brows dry. If you have oily skin, wash your face first or use an alcohol pad to wipe the area of your forehead to ensure the shield sticks properly.

What To Avoid:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure (wear a hat)
  • Avoid sleeping on your face. Change your current pillowcase for a clean one – this will help to avoid premature flaking which could cause loss of pigment. * Tip: Use an airplane pillow while sleeping to help avoid waking up on your side or stomach.
  • Do not touch, pick, or scratch the brows. Treat them like you would an open wound. Picking at the scabs can pull the pigment out of the skin!
  • Do not apply makeup or products onto the brows to avoid infection.
  • When they’re fully healed, avoid using anti-aging and acne products on them.

Aftercare For Lip Blush Procedure

Follow these steps to ensure the best healed results:

Days 1-2:

  • Following the procedure, your lips will most likely be swollen…no worries, this is completely normal! The swelling can last between 24-48 hours.
  • For the first few hours, frequently wipe away any lymph fluid that appears from your lips. After the first few hours, please apply the provided balm at least three times a day to avoid letting your lips dry out. (If you run out of the ointment we provided, Aquaphor or Vaseline are alternative balms you can use on your lips during the healing process.)
  • When drinking, please use a straw in order to avoid any potential contamination to your healing lips. When eating, be sure to avoid oily, spicy, and heavily salted foods. Also, after each meal, gently rinse and clean your lips with water, then dry them with a clean paper towel, and finally re-apply the balm.

Days 3-6:

  • At this stage in the healing process, your lips will begin to feel dry and start peeling.
  • DO NOT pick your lips. Instead, let the flaking happen naturally.
  • You can help mitigate the appearance of dryness by consistently hydrating your lips with the provided balm, Aquaphor, or Vaseline.

Week 2:

  • Your lips are no longer peeling, the color is lighter and you can resume your normal routine!
  • Your lips will continue to fully heal for up to 6 weeks. Each week more color will surface; however, it’s still very important to keep the lips hydrated to ensure the best healed final result!

* Most Importantly…ensure you are consistently hydrating and applying balm! *

What to Avoid:

  • NO Spicy foods, hot liquids, alcohol (could burn/tingle/irritate)
  • NO Excessive sweating
  • NO Kissing
  • NO Direct sun exposure
  • NO Rubbing/picking the lips
  • NO No makeup (besides balm) on the lips until fully healed (~10 days)
  • NO Facial treatments
  • NO Abrasive materials such as towels
  • NO Swimming, salt water, direct water spray on the lips

Aftercare For Permanent Lash Enhancement & Shaded Eyeliner Procedures

Follow these steps to ensure the best healed results:

We recommend allowing your eyes to DRY HEAL for 1 week.

Day of Appointment:

  • After the procedure, eyes may vary from slightly puffy to swollen, heavy lids and possibly light sensitive. Sleeping in a slightly elevated position can also reduce any residual swelling of the eyes.
  • If needed- Ice packs can be applied for 10 minutes each hour for the first 4-8 hours following the procedure. The ice is used to reduce swelling and provide comfort. If you experience any residual swelling the following day, you may ice them again. After the first 24 hours the use of ice is no longer beneficial.

Days 1-10: The treated area may experience the following symptoms for 1 to 10 days after the treatment, which are all common and will dissipate in a short period of time:

  • Redness
  • Minimal Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Flaking
  • Dryness and Itching

Day 1-2: Eyes will be swollen and perhaps a bit ‘crusty’ upon waking. The swelling will reduce after being in an upright position and from blinking and increased circulation to the area. Avoid heavy lifting, physical exertion, and crying. Eyes will be less swollen, but will feel tight. The lash area will feel sore if touched.

Day 3-4: The top layer of skin will begin to flake off in little stitch looking lines, although some people do not notice the exfoliation. DO NOT PICK THEM – you will pull pigment out and end up with uneven color. Blinking helps eliminate the small pieces of pigment that have detached. It is important not to pick at it or rub the eyes.

Day 7-9: All shedding should be complete. You are safe to shower facing the shower head. During this time, the pigment may appear to have vanished, this is a normal part of the healing process, and the pigment will re-emerge.

Day 10: Pigment, if it faded, should have returned. What you see now is very close to the healed result. If it is not as you like, please wait the final 4 weeks and return for a touch-up procedure.

The following must be avoided:

  • Direct water on the eyeliner and the use of cleaners, soaps and heavy creams. (makeup wipes will be your go to this week.)
  • Do not use contact lenses for 48 hours.
  • Do not use mascara until outer healing is complete. Do not use old tubes of mascara. Replace old with new.
  • Application of any makeup for 10 days.
  • Do not use a eyelash curler the day of the procedure.
  • Do not use saline eye drops/wash or mascara until healed
  • Do not rub, pick or scratch, as the color may heal unevenly and you could risk infection, which in turn could lead to scarring. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure/tanning or tanning beds for 4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors and/or big sunglasses.
  • Eyes are sensitive to pet dander, gardening, dust and dirty hands. Sunglasses add wonderful protection to sun.
  • Avoid heavy sweating, exercise, sports, sauna, swimming, steam rooms, jacuzzi, and long hot showers for 10 days. Eyes heal very well. However, they are exposed to the possibility of a secondary infection like conjunctivitis. Seek medical attention if needed.
  • Avoid use of skincare or cosmetics on the treated area.
  • Avoid using exfoliants, acids such as glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acids lactic acid, salicylic acid, and Vitamin A on or around the tattooed area for 30 days. (Causes premature fading)
  • Use a fresh pillowcase. Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.
  • Do not schedule any facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels or laser treatments for at least 4 weeks. They can darken/ lighten or distort the pigment.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.
  • Avoid driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles.
  • Do not performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or storage cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris–now is not the time!. Care must be taken to keep the eyes clean and free of bacteria.
